Who am I?
Does my life have a purpose?
How do I find meaning in my life?
Am I living an authentic existence?
Welcome to the existential psychology laboratory at Texas A&M University. Our research aims to understand how people answer the “big” questions in life and how people’s answers to those questions influence their attitudes and behavior.
We formulate and test a wide range of hypotheses related to many types of existential concerns focusing on the antecedents and consequences of the experience of meaning in life, authenticity, free-will beliefs, mortality awareness, perceived isolation, and self-alienation.
